Sutton Gourmet Paper cupcake liners - International Home & Housewares Show, Chicago, Mar 6-8, 2011

June 21, 2010 - Memphis, TN - Ever have a cupcake malfunction? You dressed them for success only to find the liners didn't bake right, with the colors and designs faded beyond recognition? It's time cupcakes got a new wardrobe. Sutton Gourmet Paper will take your deliciously frosted divas from discount fashion to chic couture. This new line of sophisticated, fun and affordable baking papers will change how you bake and enjoy cupcakes.

These liners aren't like other printed baking papers you've seen at grocery or party stores. Sutton Gourmet Paper offers cupcake liners made of superior paper designed to both hold its shape and color during the baking process. The result is a cupcake that's beyond just a treat - it demands attention.

Kellie Sutton, mother of four and passionate baker, researched and perfected the cupcake papers after becoming frustrated with all the options she'd tried. "As a consumer myself, I was disappointed with cute cupcake liners at the supermarket that looked great but faded once I baked them. They were not presentable," Sutton says. "I wondered, ‘Why hasn't somebody changed this?' That's when I started researching. As a frugal shopper I expected more for my money."

Sutton also longed for upscale, chic designs for cupcake papers, but they were nowhere to be found. After locating the right paper, Sutton partnered with graphic artists to create upscale vintage fabric and art prints in the colors she'd always wanted. "My goal was to change the face of the cupcake liners," she says. "I call cupcakes the new it-girls,"' says Sutton. "But they definitely needed a stylist." Now Sutton Gourmet Paper offers four designs in two colors each for a total of eight products. All baking papers are printed with soy-based ink. "Our designs do not change and the colors won't fade like other baking liners," Sutton says. "They will still look fantastic when you take them out of the oven and serve them to guests."

The four available Sutton Gourmet Paper designs are:
Zebra Print - in Hot Pink/White or Chocolate/White
Damask - in Red/White Damask or Black/White Damask
Scroll - in Turquoise/Red Scroll or Turquoise/Chocolate Scroll
Harlequin - in Red/White or Pink/Green

Each set of 50 cupcake baking liners are packaged in a solid-plastic, airtight cup that holds the shape of the papers better than traditional plastic bags with header cards. Because the liners are made with high-quality paper, the home cook spends less time separating them and more time baking. These features ensure consistent results even when bakers only use a few liners at a time. Suggested retail: $3.95 per set.

Background on Sutton Gourmet Paper: Kellie Sutton and her business partners founded Sutton Gourmet Paper, LLC in 2009 in Memphis, Tenn.

If necessity is the mother of invention, then frustration is the mother of mompreneurs! That's exactly how Sutton Gourmet Paper got its start. As a mother of four and passionate baker, Kellie Sutton decided to revolutionize the typical cupcake liner after buying countless kinds at grocery, party and specialty stores only to find nothing baked quite right. Even though some liners promised a great finish, grease bled through after baking them and the colors would fade, distorting the designs.

After years of researching to find quality paper - and putting liners from around the globe to the test - Sutton Gourmet Paper now offers a product that bakes beautiful cupcakes every time. Sutton Gourmet Paper now offers eight designs printed in soy-based ink and has more in the works. Sutton Gourmet Paper is proud to offer these papers to both professional and personal bakers, including moms like me who want value for their money. Cupcake baking liners need to be colorful, grease-free and look beautiful using only one liner ... even with a chocolate cake recipe!

High-end consumers also want memorable, sophisticated designs. Our whites stay white, the colors are vibrant and the designs are crisp. The designs range from vintage textile patterns to sophisticated artwork suitable for any occasion. Sutton Gourmet Paper makes consumers' lives more beautiful by ensuring an elegant outcome every time they bake. Live life beautifully! Each set of 50 baking cups is packaged in a round, clear plastic container that contributes to the liners' baking success. Unlike cellophane hanging bags, these tubs protect the shape of the liners so they bake perfectly don't have to be used all at once.

We are excited the industry and consumers are taking notice. Our liners were named one of three finalists in Dallas Market Center's "Next Big Thing" contest in June, 2010. We have also been featured in Fancy Food, Gourmet Retailer, Delta and Business TN magazines.
