Throughout history, decorative art tile has been has been used in palaces and houses, alike, as an expression of fine sense in design and décor. Today, Kenneth and Jacqueline Besheer are proud to continue this tradition in their Bedford, New Hampshire workshop. After years of patient experimentation, using variations of age-old techniques, the Besheers have developed and refined this art form to create some of the most beautiful and decorative tiles to be found, anywhere. Each tile is completely hand painted, using vibrant enamel glazes, and then kiln fired to 2000°. At this temperature, the glass enamels fuse to the surface of the clay, producing permanent, rich and vivid colors that will never wash or fade away. In addition to making attractive and charming wall decor, Besheer Art Tiles™ serve as excellent, heat-resistant trivets or hot plates. Featured in many museums, fine shops and galleries, and sought by collectors and decorators, a gift of Besheer Art Tile™ will offer enjoyment for many years to come!
